CenterLink, Inc. (“CenterLink,” “we” or “our“) is committed to protecting the privacy of its users (“users,” “you” or “your“) both on- and off-line. This Privacy Policy applies to, and governs your interactions with, any products or services offered through “imi” made available through the www.imi.guide website (the “Website”), its presence on Instagram, and by SMS messages (“SMS”), (collectively, the “imi Services“). This Privacy Policy discloses imi’s information collection and dissemination practices in connection with the imi Services and applies solely to the information that we collect through the imi Services. This Privacy Policy does not address personal information that you provide to us in other contexts (e.g., through a business relationship not handled through a Website or SMS).

ACCEPTANCE OF PRIVACY POLICY

By using the Website and SMS, you signify your acceptance of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not use the Website or SMS. Your continued use of the Website and SMS following the posting of changes to these terms will mean that you accept those changes.

HOW DO WE COLLECT YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

When we use the term “Personal Information” we mean information that can or could be used to identify you. We collect Personal Information through your use of imi.

We collect and use four categories of information and discuss each in turn below. 

1.     Personal Information You Provide To Us

We collect personal information when you choose to share that information with us, including when you sign up for our newsletter or our SMS program and at other times when you are interacting with us or using the imi Services. For example, some of the tools, features, or services offered on or through the imi Services may ask you to provide Personal Information (information such as mobile number or other information you may choose to enter in response to questions on our site).

2.     Information Collected Automatically

When you visit the Website, we may automatically collect the following categories of information from you:

·       Logging Functionality: As is true of most websites, we gather certain information automatically and store it in log files when you use the Website. Cookies allow CenterLink to serve you better and more efficiently, and to personalize your experience using the imi Services. Cookies are not used to retain Personal Information. You can refuse all cookies by turning them off in your browser. By not accepting cookies, some pages may not fully function and you may not be able to access certain information on the Website. By accessing and using the Website and accepting cookies, you expressly consent to the storage of cookies, other local storage technologies, beacons or other information on your computer or devices. HOW DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

If you choose to provide us with Personal Information by using the imi Services, we will use that Personal Information for the following purposes:

·       To create, build, and develop higher quality, more useful products and services by performing research, by performing statistical analyses of the collective characteristics and behavior of our users, and by measuring demographics and interests regarding specific areas of imi Services;

DO WE DISCLOSE ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION TO OUTSIDE PARTIES?

Unless you expressly give us permission in writing to do so, we will not sell, rent, license, or trade your Personal Information other than as specified in this Privacy Policy.  We may, however, share information collected about you with the following third parties:

Disclosures to Third Parties Assisting In Our Operations. We may share your Personal Information under confidentiality agreements with other companies that work with, or on behalf of, CenterLink to provide products and services, such as website management, analytics, and sending emails. These companies may use your Personal Information to assist CenterLink in its operations. However, these companies do not have any independent right to share this information.

Disclosures Under Special Circumstances. We may provide information about you to respond to subpoenas, court orders, legal process, or governmental regulations, or to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims. We believe it is necessary to share information in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, or as otherwise required by law. In such circumstances, we will take appropriate measures to ensure that the requester understands the sensitive nature of the Personal Information that they may receive.

Business Transfers. We may share your Personal Information with other business entities in connection with the sale, assignment, merger, or other transfer of all or a portion of CenterLink’s business to such business entity. We will require any such successor business entity to honor the terms of this Privacy Policy.

With Your Consent. We may share Personal Information in other ways if you give us consent or direct us to do so.

RESPONSE TO “DO  NOT TRACK” SIGNALS

Some Internet browsers include the ability to transmit “Do Not Track” signals.  Because uniform standards for “Do Not Track” signals have not yet been adopted, we do not process or respond to “Do Not Track” signals.

UPDATING YOUR INFORMATION

If you wish to stop receiving e-mails or other communications from us, or if you have submitted Personal Information through your use of the Website or SMS and would like that information deleted from our records, please notify us at centerlink@lgbtcenters.org.

CHILDREN

Under Age 13

CenterLink is committed to protecting the privacy of children. imi is intended for users who are 13 years old or older. imi Services are not designed for, or intentionally targeted at, children under 13 years of age. It is not our policy to intentionally collect or maintain information about anyone under the age of 13. No one under the age of 13 should submit any Personal Information to CenterLink, the Website,  and/or via SMS.

Under Age 18

Minors under 18 years of age may have the Personal Information that they have provided to CenterLink through the imi Services, including the Website, and/or SMS, deleted by sending an email to centerlink@lgbtcenters.org requesting deletion. Please note that, while we make reasonable efforts to comply with such requests, deletion of your Personal Information does not ensure complete and comprehensive removal of that data from all systems.

LINKS TO THIRD PARTY WEBSITES

imi may contain links to websites operated by companies other than CenterLink (“Third Party Sites”) that we believe may be of interest to you. As stated in more detail in the Website Terms of Service, the terms of usage and other conditions of use posted on those sites, and not the policies and procedures we described here, apply to those sites. Your linking to any other websites is at your own risk, and you are responsible for learning about and complying with the terms of usage and other conditions posted on those websites.

CENTERLINK SECURITY PROCEDURES

The security and confidentiality of your information is extremely important to us. We have implemented appropriate technical, administrative, and physical security measures to protect your Personal Information from unauthorized access and improper use. We review our security procedures in order to consider appropriate new technology and methods. However, no data transmission over the Internet or other network can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect information transmitted on or through the imi Services, we cannot and do not guarantee the security of any information you transmit on or through the imi Services, and you do so at your own risk.

CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

Please note that CenterLink reviews its privacy practices from time to time as we add new features and services, as laws change, and as industry privacy and security best practices evolve. We display an effective date on the policy in the upper right corner of this Privacy Policy so that it will be easier for you to know when there has been a change. If we make any change to this Privacy Policy regarding use or disclosure of Personal Information, we will provide advance notice on the Website.  Small changes or changes that do not significantly affect individual privacy interests may be made at any time and without prior notice.
